Crazy Times!

Hey all. Sorry with the lack of blogging. John and I have been working on moving into our new place :D This is the story (I’ll try to make it short!), we live(d) on 600th st which is like 2-3 blocks from the main gate on the army post. Well, housing decided that they are going to demolish the housing buildings that we live in along with the ones around us. So, they have to move us all. Well, this isn’t going to be taking place til November most likely and we are leaving Alaska in the spring. We asked […]

Sleep? What is That?

That’s kind of been my thinking lately… I am not getting much sleep. And even when I do get a good amount, I’m still exhausted! John has gone back to work, so it’s up to me to feed Easton in the middle of the night, because John has to get up at 5AM, why should he have to get up in the middle of the night? Not too happy about that. We had a nice system down while he was on his “vacation” time where we would do shifts every 3 hours instead of one person getting up every […]

1st Year Anniversary

So, yesterday was mine and John’s 1 Year Anniversary! We’ve now been married exactly a year! :D In some ways it feels like it’s been much longer than that, and in other ways it feels like that year went by way too fast. It’s crazy to think that we’ve been married just a year and we are already 6 months pregnant! I wouldn’t have it any other way though! I’m so excited for our little man to finally make his appearance! We weren’t able to do much in the way of “special” as we are completely broke right now […]

Day 3: First Love

I’m not really sure if this means love like a person or a thing that you first loved. I’ll do the person! Well, I know who my first crush was, it was 2nd grade and his name was Ryan. Well, I guess it still is. lol He actually ended up being our Prom King in high school! The first person I actually loved is my husband. I’ve liked guys in the past. I actually thought I loved one of them, but I know none of those feelings come even close to how I feel about my husband  We actually […]

Thanksgiving Feast

Happy Thanksgiving! Man, today seemed long and stressful, but it wasn’t really! This year was John and my first Thanksgiving together, as last year he was up here in Alaska and I was back in Wisconsin. It was also my first Thanksgiving away from the rest of my family, and the first time I would be making the meal :D It was a blast!!! First time making a turkey, and it was yummy. I also made a corn casserole thing that I’ve made before, green bean casserole, and homemade mashed potatoes. Made John mash them though :p We had a […]

Household Goods

John’s mom is up here in Alaska visiting us for a little over a week. Yes, if you’ve done your calculations, she is my mother-in-law :p But we get along great :D Anyway, so John is on leave and I took the time off from work too so we are all free to do whatever we want. Sort of. Still tight with the money situation. But oh well. Today we are having a BBQ. It’s not the nicest weather but at least it’s not raining (yet). We have a bunch of people coming over, three of them being our friends […]

New Addition to the House!

Sorry I’ve been kinda blah about updating lately. A lot has been going on. My two friends from home, Melissa (Wisconsin) and Kelsea (Iowa) were up here visiting for about 3 weeks. It was a crazy time but also very very fun! :D We had some crazy times on our trip over the 4th of July weekend–we drove 2 1/2 hours to Denali National Park to see Mount McKinley. Alas, we were part of the 70% that didn’t see it because of the weather being too cloudy and rainy. Then we continued our journey another 4 hours south to Anchorage […]
