I’m A Keeper, Baby

So, wow it’s been FOREVER since I’ve posted on here! Sadly, not a whole lot to talk about! I’ve just been busy with my design site and my many, many, MANY fansites I now own and help co-web. In some fun news, over the 4th of July weekend, John, Easton, some friends and I took the hour trip down to Nashville for a free concert by the river and fireworks show. It rained all day, plus a few days before that too, so the ground was all soggy and muddy and just disgusting. I took my flip flops off, because […]

Home for the Holidays

OMG I didn’t realize it had been so long since I blogged on here  I really haven’t had much to rant about, and my life isn’t that interesting to just talk about my day :p John is going to the field tomorrow, only for a night, but it sucks. I feel so bad for him, because it’s getting colder and it’s been raining all day. So, the ground is probably going to be all soggy and wet and cold and he’ll be out there “playing soldier” as he calls it, sleeping on the ground and all. Plus side is […]

Comfort Food

Wow I’ve been gone for a while, huh? Sorry about that! Easton has stepped down from his status as a daredevil, but now insists on teething so now we have a very whiney boy on our hands… ALL THE TIME! X( Oh a much lighter note, John and I decided to lose some weight! Ooooohh yeeaaaaahhh! Well, John decided first. He’s always been “right under” the cut off for Army standards and he said he’s sick of it. He wants to make a change and eat right, and exercise more. Well, I figured if he’s eating healthier, I gotta […]

5:30 AM

It’s been almost a month since my last post. Oh crap. haha! Well, Life has gotten pretty busy, and I have less time on the computer, but more to do on it! I started babysitting one of John’s soldiers’ kids. His name is David and he’s a couple months younger than Easton, so I basically am having to watch twin toddlers and it isn’t a lot of fun. BUT, they are paying me $300 a month to do it! It’s not a lot of money, but it’s something, and us Army families help each other out. They originally offered $200 […]

Busy Time of Year

Yes, this time of the year is usually busy for most people. However, in my house, it’s busier than ever! December 13 is John’s birthday. December 19 is our anniversary December 25 is Christmas. December 31 is New Year’s Eve. January 10 is my birthday! It’s crazy! John and I decided that starting this year (well, next year technically) we are going to start putting about $50 per paycheck (so $100 a month) away in savings. This way, we’ll have roughly $1,200 each year to spend on Christmas/birthday/anniversary gifts! I hope we can do that because it would make everything […]

Vacation? Check!

So, John, Easton and I have been home for almost a month now… Well, home in Wisconsin that is. And you know what? I am so ready to be back in Alaska! I am missing my bed, my puppy, my free time to be online, and Easton’s swing. Yes, his swing. Whenever he is being “clingy” and won’t let me put him down without screaming at me, I usually would put him in his swing… well, we obviously couldn’t bring that with us so it’s been a little hellish without it. Also, the bed that we have been sleeping on […]
