It’s Been Awhile…

Understatement, I know. Let me tell you something, I’ve been crazy busy with my off-line life as well as my online life, working on fansites and getting screencaps done for SCNET[1. Shortened version of Screencapped.net.] I haven’t really had time to blog or even think about what I was going to blog! A lot has happened since July, but nothing too noteworthy. We had a good Christmas and New Years, John took me out for a surprise on my birthday[2. January 10th] down to Nashville for dinner and games at Dave & Busters. Also, a bunch of friends showed up […]

Home for the Holidays

OMG I didn’t realize it had been so long since I blogged on here  I really haven’t had much to rant about, and my life isn’t that interesting to just talk about my day :p John is going to the field tomorrow, only for a night, but it sucks. I feel so bad for him, because it’s getting colder and it’s been raining all day. So, the ground is probably going to be all soggy and wet and cold and he’ll be out there “playing soldier” as he calls it, sleeping on the ground and all. Plus side is […]

Busy Time of Year

Yes, this time of the year is usually busy for most people. However, in my house, it’s busier than ever! December 13 is John’s birthday. December 19 is our anniversary December 25 is Christmas. December 31 is New Year’s Eve. January 10 is my birthday! It’s crazy! John and I decided that starting this year (well, next year technically) we are going to start putting about $50 per paycheck (so $100 a month) away in savings. This way, we’ll have roughly $1,200 each year to spend on Christmas/birthday/anniversary gifts! I hope we can do that because it would make everything […]

… and a Happy New Year!

Ah…. Christmas came and went and it was a decent day for me We ended up having to get up super early, 6AM, to start the ham as it needed to be slow-cooked for 8 hours and we had planned on eating at 2PM. After John started the ham, I made breakfast, which was cinnamon rolls and they were decent. We opened our presents with our friend Nate who had spent the night and was staying all day with us. Got some great gifts! I was really surprised with what John’s mom got me! It was the Nikon camera! John […]

Total Eclipse of the Heart

I can’t believe Christmas is getting so near :D I am super excited to cook dinner for the first time! And by dinner I mean Christmas dinner… I make dinner on a quite regular basis :p This is the first year that I won’t be home with the family back in Wisconsin for the holidays. It does make me quite sad to think that I won’t be able to see everyone, but guess what? I will! We are planning to use Yahoo! Messenger to webcam with the fam back home! :D Our computer (well, it is technically John’s) apparently won’t […]

Post Office Equals Pain?

I am so upset right now! John and I just went to the post office (on base) to mail our two boxes with Christmas presents for family back home in Wisconsin. To mail them both priority it was going to cost us over $100!!!!!! :glare: John’s mom sent up three boxes for a total of around $50 and the boxes weren’t much smaller. They might have even been heavier than our boxes. Well, John and I don’t get paid again until close to the 1st of January and are already short on funds so we couldn’t send them priority mail. […]

Oh well. I have yet to shop on a Black Friday anyway I guess it can wait til at least next year! :p Oh! And, finally put up the Christmas theme! Ya like? So I just took off my wedding band, engagement ring, and my promise ring. My fingers are starting to get swollen from the pregnancy and I figure […]
