Where Were You?

It was a brisk autumn day in a small town in south-central Wisconsin. It was first period at our High School, I was in Driver’s Ed, in the simulator that sits outside of the school. At the end of class, we headed back inside to our classroom. Once we entered the room, we were bombarded with questions about planes. “Did you see?” “Did you hear?” “We’re under attack!” I was so confused. I thought someone was attacking our school. Until the teacher turned on the TV, and saw the horror that would forever live in our minds. September 11, 2001. […]

Blank Mind

There was something I wanted to blog about yesterday, but of course I procrastinated and now I don’t remember what it was. Well, for starters, new layout! I wanted something different, I really liked my previous theme but was getting sick of it. Hope you guys like it It’s fall themed, as we are heading into fall and thank God! I’m so sick of this hot weather! I definitely missed the heat in the winter when living in Alaska, but I hate humidity and I’d take -40 degree weather any day over 100+ with 100% humidity! :Z So, […]

Web Design & Cupcakes

Ugh. I was so gonna do a vlog yesterday. I showered, put my contacts in, and even did my makeup! But, I also wanted to get things done, and I ended up cleaning the compluter room and living room, and most of the kitchen. I sweated a lot and felt like I looked too shitty to have you guys see me lol Oh well. Next time. Not much in the way of news except I still would really like to get some orders in at my Design Site. Word of mouth is essential with this, and I’d appreciate any help […]

Feeling Like a Home

My last post should have been “A Week in Tennessee”. I didn’t realize until we got here that we actually live in TN. The Fort Campbell Army base is located right on the Tennessee/Kentucky border, outside of Clarksville, TN. Although our house is actually located in Tennessee, the Fort Campbell post office is on the Kentucky side, therefore our address is Kentucky… even though we live in Tennessee… Confused yet? Oh, yes, we have a house! :D It is a bit small, it’s a lot smaller than the one we left in Alaska, but we’re dealing with it. We moved […]

New Goodies

So, in case you were all wondering, we did make it home okay I haven’t been around, so I feel like people may have been thinking we crashed and died… or maybe no one cared The drive was long, but pretty–it would have been beautiful if everything was green instead of brown, but what can ya do? It was nice not seeing anymore snow! Easton is now 1 year old! It’s so crazy to think how time has flown over this last year. It feels like just yesterday we were bringing him home for the first time! I have also […]

Driving Me Wild

After almost a week, I am finally feeling better For some reason, I felt nauseous and weak for about 4 extra days after our entire household was sick. I think it was because when John was sick, we went to the hospital and they pumped 2 liters of fluid in him, and I was sick the next day and just dealt with it. Oh well. All better now It is getting so close to moving time! I’m really excited, but also nervous at the same time. This is my first move from Army base to Army base and also my […]

Time to Bid Adieu

I am so ready to get out of Alaska. The last few days it’s been close to -50* F out and I’m getting sick of it! At -40* if you take boiling water and throw it outside, it turns to straight fog. It’s insane. I’m sure if you could find it on YouTube. Actually, let me do it for you… It’s craziness. I couldn’t find the video one of our friends made, but this one was done on campus less than 10 miles away from here. For those that don’t know, John, Easton and I will be leaving the state […]
