That’s right, last week was my first week of my first course on my second time at taking college classes! Now, I already have a Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern College and I absolutely loved my years there. John was looking at taking some online classes to start on his degree, since the Army pays for his college he wanted to get started now. The college he decided to go with gives spouses up to $4,000 scholarship towards classes, and so I was talked into taking some online courses toward a certificate in web design.
Last week I started an Introduction to Computer Science class, and I have to say, I absolutely hate it. I’m not sure if it’s the subject or the class itself that I hate. No, it is the class itself. I find the subject matter a little confusing, but very interesting. The amount of work was insane and I don’t understand how anyone with a full time job can handle this. I had a hard time and I only work 10 hours a week. I just hope that every week isn’t as loaded with work and not so confusing. Part of it is because I haven’t taken a single class since 2008. And I don’t even remember the last time I had to use more than basic math.
Thankfully this class only has 7 weeks left, then it will be on to Web Design I
