Say Hello to Maya

So, our move is complete and we were able to get everything cleaned out in the old house :D Now, comes the long process of unpacking the new place! We haven’t gotten too far besides unpacking the essentials, but it’ll get done eventually!

Also, John came home with our new puppy the other day! We have named her Maya :D She is so adorable although I’ve never had a puppy and I didn’t realize it was going to be like having a newborn baby again. We have to get up every couple hours in the middle of the night to let her outside. And of course, we’re in ALASKA and it’s getting down into the 20s at night, so I gotta stand outside and wait for her to do her business in the cold! :( She’s only 6 weeks old but I’ve been told that she’ll get past the phase soon enough. Dakota (our 2-year-old husky) and Maya are getting along very well. They are starting to play and chase each other and everything–so cute! Easton seems to like her too, as he loves Dakota already! It’s so cute, he gets this big smile every time Dakota stands in his view. I haven’t much more in the way of news, so here are some more pictures of our new addition. :)

And the video of her and your other husky is cuteeee! I love how your puppy hides and lays down and Dakota yawned! Almost like he was saying that he was bored and wanted Maya to get back up and play. Heh.
Huskys are such beautiful dogs… I am really jealous! I think its their eyes…

OMG she’s adorable! What a cutie <3 And Dakota is really beautiful, I like her hairy tail :D But 6 weeks, how can the puppy be so young? Is her mother dead or something?

No… she was born Aug 6 so she’s now almost 2 months, but 5-6 weeks is when they are able to leave their mother. At 4 weeks the owners weaned them off their mother’s milk so they had been eating puppy food for almost 2 weeks :)

Oh, ok :) Here’s it’s not ok to take them from their mother before they’re at least 8 weeks old, but I guess there are different rules in different countries.

oh maybe? IDK, we had picked her out when she was 4 weeks old and we just waited until the owners who were selling the puppies to let us know we could take her :) My husband said it’s usually 4-6 weeks, so maybe different countries do have different rules? weird.
