Happy Birthday to Me
Yep, that’s right. Birthday. Today. 25. That’s halfway to 50. I feel more like it’s halfway to 80! I don’t know why, I just feel like 25 is so old! I know it isn’t, I just can’t believe I’m 25 already. It feels like just yesterday I was out having my first legal drink at 21. Wow. Anyways, enough of the grim age talk lol John got me another figurine to go along with the Beauty and Beast one he got me for Christmas. This one is Ariel and Eric from the Little Mermaid. I didn’t take any pictures because I didn’t want this blog filled with pictures. He also got me a wall photo thing that has “live, laugh, learn” on it and spots for 2 photos. I wanna put pictures of Easton in there once he’s born so it won’t go up for awhile.
(photos missing) These two pictures are from our last ultrasound that I had on Friday last week. I had to go in for a growth scan because at my last prenatal appointment the doctor said that my fundus (which is the top of the uterus) was a little high for how far along I am. That means that the baby is maybe growing too fast, or ahead of schedule or there could be too much amniotic fluid or a couple of other things. From the ultrasound, I’m assuming he’s just getting a little too big too fast, although I won’t know for sure until my next appointment which is on the 19th. The tech said that Easton is already about 4lbs! :D That’s not too ahead of schedule and I’m hoping that because I am now watching what I eat he won’t get too big. I really don’t want to have a C-section because my baby is too big. That’s a ridiculous reason; I know other women have to do that, but I really want to have a natural birth and that is just something I don’t want to have to deal with. I won’t be posting any belly pictures, unless I actually really start showing. I was already overweight before I got pregnant (which is one thing that probably led to my GD) and so he’s had plenty of room to grow, so I haven’t started showing very much. We’ll see what happens over the next 9 weeks
