Happy Birthday to Me

Yep, that’s right. Birthday. Today. 25. That’s halfway to 50. I feel more like it’s halfway to 80! I don’t know why, I just feel like 25 is so old! I know it isn’t, I just can’t believe I’m 25 already. It feels like just yesterday I was out having my first legal drink at 21. Wow. Anyways, enough of the grim age talk lol John got me another figurine to go along with the Beauty and Beast one he got me for Christmas. This one is Ariel and Eric from the Little Mermaid. I didn’t take any pictures because I didn’t want this blog filled with pictures. He also got me a wall photo thing that has “live, laugh, learn” on it and spots for 2 photos. I wanna put pictures of Easton in there once he’s born so it won’t go up for awhile.

(photos missing) These two pictures are from our last ultrasound that I had on Friday last week. I had to go in for a growth scan because at my last prenatal appointment the doctor said that my fundus (which is the top of the uterus) was a little high for how far along I am. That means that the baby is maybe growing too fast, or ahead of schedule or there could be too much amniotic fluid or a couple of other things. From the ultrasound, I’m assuming he’s just getting a little too big too fast, although I won’t know for sure until my next appointment which is on the 19th. The tech said that Easton is already about 4lbs! :D That’s not too ahead of schedule and I’m hoping that because I am now watching what I eat he won’t get too big. I really don’t want to have a C-section because my baby is too big. That’s a ridiculous reason; I know other women have to do that, but I really want to have a natural birth and that is just something I don’t want to have to deal with. I won’t be posting any belly pictures, unless I actually really start showing. I was already overweight before I got pregnant (which is one thing that probably led to my GD) and so he’s had plenty of room to grow, so I haven’t started showing very much. We’ll see what happens over the next 9 weeks :)

I didn’t want a C-section either! But, believe me you, after 56 hours of labor and no pain meds, I was ready to cut myself open and rip him out.

Good luck over these next few weeks! Have a super safe delivery, and enjoy your last few weeks of being free!

Happy belated birthday! I just turned 21 and I feel so old already, haha. D:

Wow, that ultrasound picture is so detailed. I guess I just haven’t seen one recently, because the last one I saw wasn’t nearly THAT detailed and clear.

I realllly like the name Easton, by the way. Very unique. :)

these ultrasound pictures are actually 3D/4D images… the normal ultrasound pictures are probably what you’re used to. I just like these better, which is why I added them :) I’m going to be adding a page soon with ALL the ultrasound pics from the way beginning til the end :D

happy belated birthday! 25, woohoo! I’d probably feel old too if I was 25, i feel old enough as it is at 20 (almost 21, lol).

aww ultrasound pics! how cute :D . Yeah for sure, eating right throughout the whole pregnancy is KEY. Its good that your trying to eat right now, cause what you do eat does affect the baby greatly.
my brothers gf ate a ton of fast food while pregnant which made her gain a ton of weight! my niece was too big for her to give birth natually, so she had to have a c-section. The doctor also told her that she would probably have to have c-sections for all her babies cause they just get bigger and bigger (so they say) as you have more babies.
I can’t wait for him to be born! and pcs of course :D CUUUTEEE . Enjoy the last few weeks !
